Planning the perfect getaway

Besides using Turo to get around, they opted to stay in an Airbnb rather than a traditional hotel. “We really wanted a unique experience. We stayed in a central location in a refurbished barn for a quiet getaway with a very woodsy, outdoorsy feeling. We love road trips and we love the outdoors, so this was the perfect combination of the two.”

Though not consciously drawn to the sharing economy in the past, Megan feels that “the more I think about it, the more it just makes sense.”

They even listened to community-sourced music. “This car was wired for Bluetooth, so it was super easy to hook up our iPhones,” she recalled. “We love listening to other people’s playlists on Spotify, so it was perfect!”
